We perhaps forget that Christ has said: “If the world hates you, remember the world hated Me first.”

One day at a time is all we have to endure the slings of persecution.

Rough treatment they say will subside, if we only compromise, as they tempt our resolve.

Terrified, being human, we can  break, as Peter did on that horrific night.

He turned thrice away from Jesus Christ, denying Him all the way.

You claim it can’t happen here, but persecution is subtlety gaining ground.

Oh, persecution’s ugly head is rising, as subtle barriers are being put in place to hide God’s truth here on this earth.

F rvent are the censors who claim Christianity fosters hate, while they grow in rapid number spreading lies in their wake.

Many are the political minions, the detractors who place barriers in their wake.

You claim it can’t happen here, but willing liars come to the fore, slowly stripping religious freedom from our shores.

Accept the blessings of the Lord, compromise nothing for He will see you through.

Lean on the One who first faced persecution for you and, resurrected, came through.

Let the trials and tribulations flow, in the end, remember, God has all things under control.
