WHY ME LORD?

What have I ever done to deserve even one of the blessings I’ve found in Thee.

How was it Lord, You loved me so much, that You gave up Your life to rescue me and I had yet to acknowledge Thee.

You are my Savior, my Light in the darkness, my Breath of life, my Guide through life’s travail, because of Your grace Lord, against sin’s clutches I’ll always prevail.

Many’s the time Lord, that I needed You so and You never failed to come to aid me, what caused my blindness that I ignored this great blessing and so foolishly failed to see Thee?

Each time You came through Lord, I took you for granted, yet your guidance and love You never recanted, You continued to see me through.

Look at me Lord, I’m a mess, yet You continue to love me no less as I slip and I fall, You continue to come and aid me as You ignore it all.

Oh God of creation, like men of every nation I fall short of what You want me to be, open my eyes that Your glory I see and Your Will be manifested in me.

Redemption was given that mankind be living a blessed life in Thee, I did not nor could not earn one little piece of the blessings You have given me.

Demand of me Lord Jesus, what so ever You will, for my life is dependent on Thee, fill me with Thy grace, so that I’m protected by You and from sin I’ll forever be free.
