THE LOT IS CAST

The soldiers cast lots to claim the the seamless robe
that Your mother had lovingly made for You, oh Lord Jesus.

His Love is forgiving, in Him life is worth living, for
we are protected by God’s own lovingly mighty Hand.

Emmanuel, the True Lord, by sinners once slain, rose
from the dead, providing much for the sons of man to gain.

 

Lord You refrained from using Your power and right to
punish the  blasphemy of man’s cruel
actions that night.

Official actions were such, that they exceeded authority
all too much, when they laid hands on You that awful day.

That You chose with restraint not to punish mankind is
the proof of Your omnipotent love brought into play,

 

In plain sight of the cross, the soldier’s did cast
their stones to claim what was not rightfully their’s to claim.

Slain by the authority of man, You rose again to grant
eternal life and its blessings to man.  

 

Contrary to what all men would have done in that
situation, You offered forgiveness to every nation.

Almighty is the Love that rescued mankind confirming the
lot had been cast by Christ in favor of man.

Sinners all, if we but heed His calls and turn our lives
to Him, thus we shall walk with Him through out heaven’s halls. 

The lot has been cast in the favor of man in the light
of God’s great love, by Jesus we’re redeemed by that love.
