TO BECOME A DISCIPLE

To become a disciple Lord of Your healing Way, I know I
need a fresh infilling of Your grace each day.

Omnipotent Creator, make me an instrument of Thy Will,
make me a disciple, that in my discipleship I Am Yours still.

 

Before You came to me Lord, my discipleship was in sin,
but now Your Glorious Love has pulled me from that trash bin.

Eternal life You granted me, when I let you in, now Lord
make my discipleship an ardent adversary of sin.

Command my every deed Lord according to Thy Will, Holy
Spirit fill my life with grace, stay with me still.

Oh Lord of Heaven hear my plea that I never abandon
Thee, for I know for sure that You’d never abandon me.

Make of me what You will, grant me Thy Loving grace,
that in my heart Your Will Divine fill my every space.

Emmanuel, come by here, Your Word instill in me, that by
my every deed and prayer I help others come to Thee.

 

All my deeds I pledge to Thee my Precious Savior, for
once I was lost until I proclaimed; Jesus has saved me.

 

Direct me in Your path Lord, bless all my deeds, that I
may be counted as good wheat and not as choking weed.

In You oh Lord is true salvation, let me Your disciple
be, that by my example others may come in praise to thee.

Spirit of the Living God, this I ask of Thee; let me be
a grace filled disciple of Thy Word for by Thy grace I am truly free.

Come by me Lord, lend Thy Words to my lips as I speak of
Thee, for by Your precious gift of salvation I am truly free.

In You Lord Jesus there is salvation, offered to every
nation, for this You became Salvation’s Perfect Lamb. 

Protect me where I wander Lord in obedience to Thy will,
that with Thy intervention others may come to Thee.

Light the fire of discipleship deep within my heart that
others may come joyfully to Thee in fervent prayer never more to part.

Employ me in Your Service Lord, let my discipleship entail the story of
how a Great Love did gentle and negate the destruction cause by sin’s gale.
