HE WAITED TOO LONG
Holy Spirit, comfort me, let it not be said of my loved
one that he waited too long to come to Thee I plea.
Enter the hearts of those I love and in the surety of
Your love have them declare themselves for Thee, Lord this would be a great
comfort to me.
We, Thy children, unworthy of the many blessings Thou
hast garnered for us, ask that Thou grant our loved ones the ability to make
the heavenly bus.
Accept our prayers on their behalf and in their dying
breath have them declare that Thou art their Lord and God, I plea, this would
be a great comfort to me.
I am just a man
who lives upon this earth, but in You, I live a second birth, for my redemption
was given by Your loving grace and not mine own hand.
Take my loved one, oh Lord most high, into Thy heavenly
fold, this prayer I offer unto Thee that my loved one has turned to Thee.
Enrich my loved one’s spiritual sight that my loved one
may not remain spiritually blind to Thee, I plea, this would be a great comfort
to me.
Don’t put off ‘till tomorrow the decision needed today,
for tomorrow may not come your way, ask that you be nearer to God I plea.
To Thee, oh God of omnipresent love, I venture to plea
on his behalf, let not this fallacy be, that he waited too long to call upon
Thee.
Omnipotent God of Mercy, I plea, let not this fallacy
be, that he waited too long to come to Thee, this would be a great comfort to
me.
Omnipresent in everything that Thou have created, I ask
of Thee Lord that he not be fated to have waited too long to come to Thee.
Lord, Thy will be done on this earth as it is in heaven,
for to Thee all glory is due, I just pray that it isn’t true that he waited too
long to come to You.
Oh God of Eternal power and might I acknowledge the fact
that the saddest thing that can be said of a man is; he waited too long to come
to Thee.
Now I don’t know what went on in his final moments, I
would hope and pray that he didn’t wait too long to come nearer my God to Thee.
God in Heaven, Blessed be Thy Holy Name, I know because
of Thy grace, it can’t be said of me; he waited too long to come to Thee.
